About Me

Welcome to my blog.

My name is Lynne Lawer and my blog posts range from information about my colouring books to things that interest me so they are an eclectic mix.

I do fractal art which is art created using a computer program that translates mathematical formulae into patterns. My designs are available to buy on T-shirts, mugs, keyrings and many other gifts from http://www.zazzle.co.uk/LynneLawer*. You can personalise them with your own messages if you wish. I love my fractals which is kind of funny as I never liked abstracts before I started doing them.

I adore all arts and crafts, particularly 5D diamond paintings, pottery, mixed media and parchment work and I love animals, especially cats.

I have published several colouring books on Amazon, which you can find on my author page. They are also available as printables from my Etsy shop.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog.

Lynne

  1. I never knew there was something called fractal art. It seems really cool. I am enjoying your blog and I learnt something new 🙂

  2. I think one of the highlights of my LIFE was when I learned about fractals. (Then I learned what hyperbole means, and I had to tone down my response somewhat. LOL) But I do enjoy fractals a bunch. Thanks for the follow. I think I join up for the ride, here.

  3. Wow! I came here simply to thank you for reading my pieces and following my blog, but as I read your introduction, my eyes grew wider with every paragraph. You’re simply intriguing!
I’ve only heard of fractal art very recently and very briefly. It just baffles me beyond my comprehension, and your work is absolutely gorgeous. Angel and Sparkling ribbons are my favorite.
Though I’ve never had any personal experience with the paranormal, it all seems very exciting. So, I do hope to read more from your experience with ghost hunting, EVPs, and such!
Lastly, I really enjoyed reading about your admiration for the disabled. I never knew there were actual sighted guides for blind skiers. Heck, I don’t go down mountains anymore because I’m too much of a baby! I’m inspired by those who overcome their challenges and still have the courage to achieve their dreams.
So, thanks again for following me, and thus, leading me to you. I sincerely look forward to reading more about your wild world!

  4. Thank you Adelie. I’m glad you like my work. 🙂
The ghost hunting can be scary but is mostly waiting around in the cold for something to happen. It has been a few years since I last did one.
I’ve heard that the USA didn’t broadcast much of the London 2012 Paralympics or the Winter Paralympics which is a shame because you are all missing out on some terrific sport plus every single athlete has an amazing back story of obstacles they have had to overcome.
It is a pleasure to follow you, your posts are very good indeed. I really enjoyed reading the first part of your Steamy Saturday story.
Wild world? I’m the most boring person I know! lol

  5. Hello Lynne,
Thanks for stopping by to read my Daily Prompt post! It’s been to long since I have participated, but I loved the topic. Congrats on the work on your Kindle book. My first book, “Addicted T Dimes” came so easy to me, but my next almost done, I’m having a more difficult time getting the endings down & done! Yikes!….LOL.
So glad to meet you and I’m now following 🙂

    Many Blessings, Catherine Lyon

    • Hello Catherine,
Thanks, I’ve only just started the book but at least I’ve finally started, lol. Congratulations on being a published author and good luck with getting your latest books finished.

          • No not yet. My first book was formatted and uploaded for me by my publisher, then I did all my book & marketing myself 🙂

I will be self-publishing my next 2 books, but I’m going to go paperback format 1st, if you do that on Create Space, then Amazon will automatically now format & upload your Kindle for you!

However, my good friend & author, Art Crandon has the step by step guide to using Kindle self-publishing on his blog! http://www.arthurcrandon.com then click on tab “Help for Newbie, Penniless Writers”…..that page walks you through the whole FREE process!

            Hope it helps….Cat

            • Thanks Cat, that will be very useful. I’ll have to have a look at Create Space. I wasn’t planning to do a printed version but I might change my mind about that.

I think, mainly, it is fairly easy to just type it in Word and then upload it to the Kindle publishing site. I’m aware that there shouldn’t be any formatting in the document as it will just be ignored. It was mainly my fractals and the cover page I was concerned about as I wasn’t sure what resolution they should be in but, apparently, Kindle ignores that too! lol Hopefully, I’ll figure it out.

Marketing is the thing I’m dreading. You were brave doing all the marketing yourself. 🙂

              • Well, soon I’ll be offering book promoting & social media marketing. I have 8 authors/clients I work with now. Nothing major, I make sure they get linked into all the search engines, link up there site or blogs to some good marketing free sites to increase traffic, and offer shoutouts link to their books.

I help fill out, and make sure they are using all the free Author Bio services on Amazon, GoodReads, and some other free book marketing sites. And a few other Secrets!….LOL. If you need any help when they book releases? Let me know…..I’d be happy to do a free Author Guest Spotlight on my Writers blog for you 🙂 http://anAuthorandWriterinProgress.wordpress.com

                Happy Caturday!
