Britain in Bloom

Passionate purple
And pretty pink,
Glorious gold
All make you think

That spring is here
After long winter’s gloom.
It’s super to see
Britain in bloom. 🙂

We’re getting towards
Long, hot, summer days
When parks and gardens
Delight and amaze.

With their reds and oranges,
Lilacs and blues,
All mixed up together
In wonderful hues.

England’s the place
That I love the best.
It’s where I was born
I think it beats the rest.

I’m biased, of course,
But it’s so lush and green
And the formal gardens
Should really be seen.

Alongside the statues
At Hever Castle in Kent,
The flowers look gorgeous.
I’m so glad I went.

Our lovely green land
Is all due to the rain
That waters the plants –
It’s not always a pain!

If you come to our country
I’m sure you’ll be smitten
By the three realms that add up to
Stunning Great Britain!
