Wow!!! 3 medals now for Jade Etherington and her guide Caroline Powell. They narrowly missed out on the gold in the slalom for the visually impaired – by only 0.65 of a second!
We also saw 15-year-old Millie Knight and her 18-year-old guide Rachael Ferrier for the first time at these games. Millie was just supposed to be getting experience but she actually ended up in fifth position in the slalom.
Paralympics GB now have 4 medals – 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze and are still 9th on the medal table. This is better than Team GB at the able-bodied Olympic Winter Games who got 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals and were 19th AND Jade only has to complete the course in the super combined on Friday to get another medal. She is going all out to try to win gold even though she is 3.12 seconds behind Russia’s Aleksandra Frantceva. She is also in the giant slalom race on Sunday, the last day of the Winter Paralympics. So far she has won a medal in every event she has been in. What a tremendous achievement! Well done Jade and Caroline. We’re proud of you!
